Valentine's Day in Speech

Updated: Feb 2, 2022

It is always fun to incorporate Valentine's Day in therapy. I always teach it as a day of friendship and love. I do themed lessons during the week of the holiday and I wanted to share a few of my favorites. I also wanted to share some freebies for you to use with your students.

Valentine's Day Quick No Prep Language pack. This pack is handy for all elementary caseloads. It has everything from categories to story comprehension! It also comes with a FREE Google Slides version for a digital option.

Double Dotting Speech Valentine ! I created these art activity pages for speech therapy to keep students engaged. Double Dotting Speech is unique because I incorporated two “dotting” tasks for this activity. First connect the dots and then dot the pictures! It is great for groups because the other students will have plenty to work on (coloring, connecting the dots, dotting) while you work with the other students. I have my students color the hearts in between turns (optional). Designed for an elementary caseload (some pages can be used with middle schoolers depending on skill and interest level).

A Box of Articulation Chocolates! A super fun (no prep) articulation craft! My students love filling their chocolate boxes with speech sounds! It includes an easy cut version with cutting guides for younger students (or students with fine motor needs). You also get a FREE digital BOOM card activity with this purchase. This is also available in Spanish.

Sweet Heart Thumbprints. A fun articulation art pack that is something fun and different! Students will love getting their thumbs messy with this activity (make sure and keep wet wipes near by!)

Color By Symbol Sweet Heart Edition. You have to love NO PREP, right? These no prep Color by Symbol Worksheets are quick and easy to use in therapy or to send home as homework (Articulation).

Penny's Chocolates: Need an interactive book for therapy? This one is super cute! Penny only likes the cherry filled chocolates. Help her find a treat she likes while answering yes/no, increasing MLU (with picture sentence strips), and answering comprehension questions.

Also available in a digital version (sold separately). Click here to see the BOOM Cards version of this story.

Love NO PRINT resources? Download my Which One Doesn't Belong resource in the Sweet Heart Edition for a quick and fun activity. The student has to identify all of the object in the heart, touch the one that doesn't belong, and name how the other three are alike. It also comes with no prep worksheets to use after or to send home as homework. I use this with my iPad and Smart Board!

I also wanted to share some of my freebies available on Teachers Pay Teachers, click the links below:

I also wanted to give you an exclusive instant download for stopping by today. Click here to get a sample of my Sweet Heart Thumbprints art craft (initial/medial/final s)
