If you haven't heard, Talk Like a Pirate Day is September 19, 2015. How fun is that? In honor of this special day, I am doing a priate theme in therapy next week! At the end of the week I may dress up like a pirate! AAARRGGHH!!
I have made some products for my students with this fun theme! They are all availalble in my TPT store! Check out my products and some of the products I have snagged from other SLPs! Thank you Gold Country SLP for hosting the Linky! Click here to join in or see other SLP Bloggers Pirate Posts!
Parrot/Pirate Positonal Vocabulary Mini-Unit!
This mini-language unit comes with 2 interactive and adaptive books to target positional vocabulary (receptive and expressive). The receptive book has a detachable parrot named Peppy that you move throughout the book while working on basic concepts (on, in, under, between, ect...). The expressive books has adapted sentences to encourage verbalization and spontaneous use of the positonal vocabulary. This unit also comes with a "Peppy in the Room" game. There is a large Peppy the Parrot image to hide around the room with the included directions cards (1 & 2 steps). This activity includes a communication support board for students who need it! I also made flashcards to use in conjuntion with the books or communication boards! There is a bonus parrot coloring page included too! Don't miss out on this cute activity for your prek-1st graders or life skills classroom!
Pirate Category Cards
This download included 2 card decks in a cute pirate theme. The Name the Category card deck has a pirate asking the student to name the category of the 3 images in the treasure chest!
